A Rahring comeback.

So, apparently people like beer. And a good comeback story.

After record snowfall in early 2009 took down the roof at the Rahr & Sons Brewery, beer production came to a standstill. But when life gives you yellow snow, you make lemonade, right?

GCG and Rahr teamed up to ensure that when beer production came back online, they'd hit the ground running. The brewery folks handled cleanup, construction and new equipment installation, while GCG created new packaging and a series of YouTube videos featuring some of the brewery crew. This, combined with social media efforts, kept Rahr fans engaged and up to date on the brewery's progress. It even became something of a game to find and post the whereabouts of the last few 6-packs of Rahr around the Metroplex.

When the new roof was completed and beer started flowing like wine once more, Rahr fans seemed to want to make up for lost time. The relaunch, featuring the new and improved brand identity created by GCG Marketing, was a huge success. Sales quickly grew, new markets were added and before too long, it was time to expand again.

Over the past seven years, Rahr has increased its brewing capacity tenfold, surpassing the 20,000 barrel mark in November of last year with the addition of three new 100-barrel tanks. 2011 also saw the addition of six new Texas markets, including Austin, Amarillo and Corpus Christi. For their fellow Fort Worthians, the brewery acquired an adjacent 10,000-square-foot space to accommodate new events and the growing popularity of Wednesday and Saturday tours.

New varieties have been brewed, awards have been won, and Rahr has even received some national attention from The Wall Street Journal and GQ. From their humble beginnings, Rahr & Sons Brewing has since grown to be a big part of what makes Fort Worth unique. And they don't show any signs of slowing down.

GCG is proud to be a part of Rahr's exponential growth and success over the past seven years. Here's to the next seven!
